The Request for Council Action (RFCA) listed the <br />incorrect funding amount for Mr. Lopez, Jr. The recommended amount by the Arts and Culture <br />Commission was for $10,000. Staff recommends that City Council approve the agreement with <br />Mr, Lopez, Jr. in the amount of $10,000. <br />In addition, Joseph Haws, a recommended recipient of the Grant, informed the City that due to <br />personal matters, he is unable to fulfill his obligation under his contract (Exhibit 2). Staff is <br />recommending terminating his agreement for $5,000 and applying the funds to increase Mr. <br />Lopez's contract as recommended by the Arts and Culture Commission. <br />The amount of $85,000 awarded to recipients of the Investing in the Artist Grant will remain as <br />approved by the Arts and Culture Commission. <br />1TRATE,91C PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this Item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5, Community health, livability, <br />engagement and austalnebillty , Objective #5 (Promote a strong arts and culture Infrastructure), <br />Strategy B (Generate public and private support and resources to strengthen, expand and <br />stabilize funding for the arts). <br />25A -1 <br />
