Agreement with EEC Environmental for Waste <br />Discharge Requirement Compliance Services <br />October 6, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />related to the FOG control program, training staff to adequately perform inspections and <br />enforcement actions relating to the FOG control program, performing the 2017 SSMP internal audit <br />and the 2019 SSMP comprehensive update, developing sanitary sewer overflow contingency plans, <br />providing sanitary sewer overflow response support, developing sewer system maintenance <br />schedules, and maintaining the FOG control program GIS databases and maps. Staff recommends <br />awarding a contract to EEC Environmental for WDR compliance services. EEC Environmental has <br />a proven track record with other municipalities and has the resources and technical experience to <br />provide WDR compliance services. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy C (invest resources and technology to extend the service life of existing <br />infrastructure to protect the City's investment and support a high quality of life standard). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $300,000 are budgeted in the Sanitary Sewer Service account (05617640- <br />62300) for expenditure in FY 2015 -16. Annual allocations of $300,000 will also be budgeted in FY <br />2016 -17, FY 2017 -18, and if renewed, FY 2018 -19 and FY 2019 -20. <br />Public Works Agency <br />FM /NS /RR <br />Exhibits: 1.
