LS 9/14/15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -30 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE <br />MASTER SIGN PLAN FOR THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1901 EAST FIRST STREET <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The Applicant is requesting approval of the proposed master sign <br />plan for The Nineteen 01 residential development located at 1901 <br />East First Street. <br />B. The master sign plan came before the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Santa Ana on September 14, 2015. <br />C. In 2013, the City approved various entitlements for The Nineteen <br />01 development, including site plan review approval, a tentative <br />map, and an amendment to an existing development agreement. <br />Included within the site plan review approval was a requirement to <br />submit a master sign plan to the Planning Commission for review <br />and approval. <br />D. The master sign plan proposes a combination of wall signs, <br />monument signs, directional signs and project addressing that is <br />contemporary and creative and will complement and be consistent <br />with the architectural design of The Nineteen 01 development. <br />E. The Planning Commission determines that the following findings, <br />which must be established in order to grant this master sign plan, is <br />in compliance with the provisions of the Metro East Mixed Use <br />Overlay Zone: <br />1. That the signage is in compliance with the objectives of <br />Section 1.2 of the MEMU Overlay zone. <br />The proposed signage is in compliance with the <br />objectives of Section 1.2 of the MEMU Overlay Zone. <br />The proposed signage has been designed to be <br />compatible with and complementary to the <br />contemporary architectural style of the project.
