Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute a reimbursement agreement with the City <br />of Irvine to reimburse the City for their matching share cost of the SR- <br />55 /Dyer Road Interconnect Communication Surveillance project. <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing $27,000 as City of <br />Irvine's matching share and appropriating it for the construction of the <br />SR -55 /Dyer Road Interconnect Communication Surveillance project. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City has received funding of $523,000 from Caltrans to implement real <br />time traffic surveillance and detection on key arterials in the SR -55 /Dyer <br />Road corridor, located in the cities of Santa Ana and Irvine (Exhibit 1) . <br />The City of Santa Ana is administering the project. The project includes <br />installation of four closed circuit television cameras and related <br />communication lines. Traffic information exchange capability between the <br />City of Santa Ana and the City of Irvine Traffic Management Centers is also <br />included in the project. Construction is expected to begin in February. <br />An agreement with the City of Irvine is needed to receive reimbursement of <br />$27,000 from City of Irvine for its matching share of the project. An <br />appropriate adjustment is also needed to recognize receipt of the money and <br />to appropriate it to the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will recognize the revenue received for the <br />project (account no. 59 -01 -5621, project no. 1593) by $27,000 and <br />appropriate the same in the project budget (account no. 59 -551 -6631, <br />project no. 1593). <br />J svG. oss <br />$a,ecutive Director <br />/Public Works Agency <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Rod R.
