Agreement — Network Kinection, LLC <br />November 3, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />their degree and benefit from an additional year of subsidized or unsubsidized job placement <br />services, or internship opportunities, or On- The -Job Training. <br />Network Kinection, LLC will be responsible for coordinating subsidized or unsubsidized <br />placements, or internship opportunities with private, engineering and other STEM companies for <br />100 program participants. Additional responsibilities of the consultant include structuring training <br />plans, assisting in the preparation of agreements and employer reimbursement request <br />documents to the City for review, approval and processing. Network Kinection, LLC performed in <br />a satisfactory manner during the initial term and staff recommends approval of a new agreement <br />to provide continued services to the program participants during the final year of the grant. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #2: Youth, Education, Recreation, <br />Objective #4, (Partner with groups and organizations to promote education, senior services, job <br />training and development for all Santa Ana residents), Strategy B (Partner with The California <br />Endowment, Santa Ana College, Chapman University, UCI, CSUF and other institutions of <br />higher education to design career pathway programs that support priority workforce industries <br />(Retail, healthcare, manufacturing, renewable energies) that results in faster reemployment of <br />Santa Ana's residents). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The Department of Labor H -1 B Technical Skills grant funds will be carried forward from FY 2014- <br />2015 to FY 2015 -2016 in account no. 13218744 -69135 for expenditure in FY 2015 -2016. <br />wjN / -- <br />Kelly Reende4 � <br />Executive Director <br />Community Development Agency <br />KR /CR/11 <br />Exhibit: 1.
