Depot at Santiago Project <br />Relocation Plan <br />3. Income <br />Income information was provided by the tenant household in 2013. According to income <br />standards for the County of Orange (Exhibit A) adjusted for family size as published by <br />the United States Department. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the household <br />qualifies as Very Low Income (31% - 50% of area median income). <br />4. Ethnicity/Language <br />The residential tenant stated White as his ethnicity and English as his primary language. <br />5. Senior/Handicapped Households <br />The tenant qualifies as a senior household (62 years or older) but reported no disabilities <br />or handicaps. <br />6. Preferred Relocation Areas <br />The household surveyed expressed a preference to remain in Orange County in order to <br />maintain current access to employment in Irvine. <br />C. FIELD SURVEY DATA - COMMERCIAL <br />1. Current Occupants <br />There are eight known commercial occupants on the Project site with operating businesses <br />and one occupant who rents space for storage for their business. The interviewer was <br />originally able to interview each of the business owners on site in 2013, although two of the <br />business owners were unresponsive to multiple attempts to update their information in 2015. <br />The majority of the businesses are construction related including, but not limited to, flooring, <br />carpentry/woodworking, painting/moulding/wall coverings, demolition, dumpster rentals and <br />hauling. There is also an artist, urban planning/cultural events firm, and online business on- <br />site as well. A total of 8,400 sq. ft. of building space is utilized, and the average unit size is <br />1,400 sq. ft. <br />Based on lease information provided by the business owners and the property owner, current <br />rental rates range from $200 - $800/mo. on the Project site. There are two units with two <br />businesses in each sharing the space and rental costs. All of the businesses are currently on <br />month to month leases. <br />Statistics provided by the business owners indicate the total number of full-time employees <br />and part-time employees (not including the owners) impacted by the Project is nine and one, <br />respectively. <br />55AA 2 <br />
