Depot at Santiago Project <br />Relocation Plan <br />C. RELATED ISSUES <br />1. Concurrent Residential Displacement <br />At this time, there are no other current public projects causing significant displacements <br />underway in the City of Santa Ana or adjacent communities which would compete with <br />the Project for needed housing resources. No residential displacee will be required to <br />move without both adequate notice and access to available affordable decent, safe and <br />sanitary housing. <br />2. Temporary Housing <br />No need for temporary housing is anticipated. <br />D. REPLACEMENT COMMERCIAL SITES AVAILABILITY <br />Most of the business owners indicated a desire to stay in Santa Ana, although a few expressed an <br />interest in moving to Costa Mesa, Orange or Anaheim. The businesses that are to be displaced <br />should be able to relocate in the Santa Ana area. When searching for replacement locations, <br />zoning and other regulatory issues must be considered carefully. The current availability of <br />commercial/light industrial space for lease in Santa Ana is adequate. <br />Table 4 below provides a sample of the 30 available commercial/light industrial properties <br />available in Santa Ana as of the date of this Plan.
