Award a contract to Berryman & Stephenson to conduct <br />10030 the Lawson Way Extension Study "For a cost not to exceed <br />$4,500, and authorize its execution by the Mayor. <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />At their meeting of January 31, 19854 the Orange -Santa Ana <br />Joint Powers Authority authorized the issuance of a request <br />for proposal (RFP) to conduct a neighborhood preservation <br />study involving the area west of Maija Street, south of Chapman <br />and north of the Garden Grove Freeway. In addition, they <br />authorized issuance of a RFP for the, Lawson Way Extension <br />Study.' Following receipt of the respective proposals, a <br />review committee comprised of staff from both cities evaluated <br />each of them, and their recommendation is as follows: <br />1. Award a contract to Austin'- Faust'to conduct the <br />Neighborhood Preservation Study for a cost not <br />exceed $25,370; and <br />2.' Award as contract to Berryman & Stephenson to conduct <br />the Lawson Way Extension Study for a cost not to <br />exceed $4,500. <br />The costs associated with these studies will be shared equally <br />by both cities as provided for in the Joint Exercise of <br />Powers Agreement. The City Council of the City of Orange <br />will also be requested to approve'these proposed contracts <br />for services. <br />
