ROH — 11/03/15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -060 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR <br />RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 923 N. <br />SANTIAGO STREET. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br />A. On May 20, 2013, the City Council approved and authorized the loan <br />agreements for an affordable housing project called the Depot at Santiago <br />(Project) located 923 N. Santiago Street. The Project will be a mixed used <br />project that will provide retail space, 70 affordable units and a community <br />room. <br />B. Since obtaining City Council approval of the funding and the Project, the <br />Developer has obtained additional funding from the State of California, <br />including funding from the Infill Infrastructure Grant (IIG) and the <br />Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program (Cap & <br />Trade). <br />C. Based on California Law, when State funds are provided to a project, <br />which would lead to the displacement of people from their homes and /or <br />business, the legislative body must approve a relocation plan. <br />D. The Project Relocation Plan has been prepared in conformance with <br />applicable provisions of California Relocation Assistance Law and <br />Relocation Guidelines as well as United States Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development (HUD) regulations. <br />E. This plan is required due to the necessary demolition of the existing <br />structures, and the permanent displacement of all current occupants <br />located at 923 N. Santiago Street. The needs and characteristics of the <br />displaced population, available relocation resources, and the Developer's <br />program to provide assistance to each affected person are general <br />subjects of the Relocation Plan. The original Relocation Plan was <br />completed in September of 2013, and was updated in September of 2015 <br />as the Project is close to commencing. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -060 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
