RS 10.26.15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -35 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT NO. 2015 -17 AS CONDITIONED FOR THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2151 EAST FIRST STREET <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Applicant is requesting approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 2015 -17 to <br />allow a care home at the property located at 2151 East First Street. <br />B. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41- 365.5(c) requires approval of a <br />conditional use permit for a care home use in the Community Commercial <br />(C -1) zoning district. <br />C. On October 26, 2015, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public <br />hearing on Conditional Use Permit No. 2015 -17. <br />D. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana determines that the <br />following findings, which must be established in order to grant this <br />Conditional Use Permit pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC) <br />Section 41 -638, have been established for Conditional Use Permit No. <br />2015 -17 to allow the care home use: <br />That the proposed use will provide a service or facility which will <br />contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or <br />community. <br />The proposed care home will provide a service to the <br />community. The proposed care home is a use that will <br />provide additional housing and supportive services for those <br />in need in the community. As part of the conversion, the site <br />will be improved with additional open space /urban garden, <br />new fagade and other aesthetic improvements to create a <br />pleasant environment for the care home residents as well as <br />the surrounding neighborhood. Further, the proposed care <br />home will provide a safe and organized environment which <br />will assist the residents and enhance their quality of life, <br />including providing assistance, supervision, training, classes, <br />transportation coordination, activity planning and meals. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -35 <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />31A -16 <br />
