Adopt a resolution authorizing the City to submit applications for funding consideration under <br />the Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program. <br />2. Direct staff to amend the Seven -Year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a call for projects under the <br />Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for FY 2016/17. Funding <br />in the amount of $35 million will be awarded on a countywide competitive basis in the Regional <br />Capacity and Traffic Signal Synchronization programs. Adoption of the recommended resolution <br />and amending the Seven -Year Capital Improvement Program is a qualifying requirement to <br />submit the grant applications. <br />If approved by Council, the City will submit three applications totaling $17,865,000 in grant fund <br />requests. Existing and future local funding sources will be used to provide the required matching <br />funds for the recommended projects.
