ARTICLE IV <br />4.0 SALARIES <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />Rill-time personnel who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any of the <br />designated classifications of employment represented by the Union as listed in this MOU <br />and its attachments. <br />4.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule, attached hereto in a matrix format as Exhibit <br />"A," and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein, provides numerous salary <br />rate ranges, each comprised of seven (7) steps or rates of pay. <br />The respective rate ranges are identified by a three digit number. The steps within each <br />range are identified by the letters "AAA" through "E" inclusive, with Step "AAA" being <br />the lowest step in the range. The purpose of each step and the length of service required <br />for advancement to the next higher step within a particular salary rate range are set forth <br />in Exhibit "A." <br />The assignment of classifications to salary rate ranges is listed in Exhibit B, which is <br />attached and made a, part hereof as though set forth herein. <br />4.3 Salaries, <br />A. The base salaries of employees covered by this MOU shall be adjusted as follows <br />Effective July 1, 2015, the base salaries of employees covered by this MOU shall <br />be increased by five (5) salary rate ranges(approximately 2.5 %). <br />Effective July 1, 2016, the base salaries of employees covered by this MOU shall <br />be increased by five (5) salary rate ra.nges(approximately 2.5 %). <br />B. During the term of this MOU, should any other full -time employee bargaining <br />unit of the City receive any base salary rate increase (not associated with a class <br />& compensation study) that exceeds those set forth in Subsection "A" above, all <br />employees covered by this MOU shall receive the same base salary increase or <br />equivalent retroactive to the date such increase went into effect for the other <br />bargaining unit. <br />4.4 Ap lication of Basic Compensation Plan. The salary rate ranges contained in Section 4.2 <br />and Exhibit "B" are monthly salary rate ranges. All employees working in classifications <br />of employment covered by this MOU shall be compensated at a monthly rate, except drat <br />an employee hired for temporary work in a position which has an anticipated duration of <br />less than six (6) months shall be paid at a rate per hour for actual time spent in the <br />performance of the duties of his or her employment.
