Councilmember Tinajero: <br />• Announced that Santa Ana High school has undefeated record; <br />upcoming homecoming game v. Segerstrom coming up; <br />• Pleased that City Council able to allocate extra funds; and <br />• Thanked efforts by police officers and Police Chief. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Sarmiento: <br />• Thanked the City Manager for winding down negotiations labor groups; <br />• Asked that Communications Manager send out alert on upcoming <br />movie screening on October 24, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Frida Theater; <br />• Noted that surplus funds should be retitled unallocated funds —deferred <br />maintenance and one-time projects; <br />• Thanked police rank and file for service and living up to high <br />standards; and <br />• Wished all a happy Halloween and asked all to be safe. <br />Councilmember Amezcua: <br />• Thanked staff for efforts in bringing forth surplus funds; <br />• Thanked Police Chief for leadership and continue to hold staff to high <br />standards; <br />• Reported that Orange County Fire Authority has decreased response <br />times; and <br />• Wished son a happy birthday. <br />Councilmember Reyna: <br />• Asked all to continue to conserve water; <br />• Encouraged all to attend Santa Ana High School v.
