Pi loosat for the C'Hy^ cA Santa Ana <br />.JT Mor( an <br />An image quality analysis dOA) is performed on each item and includes tests for: dots per <br />inch (DPI), document length, document height, missing corners, streaks, darkness, noise, <br />brightness, contrast, focus, skew, integrity and MICR match. <br />mages that fail the initial image quality test are deemed suspect. These items are <br />manually reviewed to determine it the deficiency (e.g., too light, Palled contrast, <br />unreadable signature, etc.) is within the guidelines of Check 21. We pass fie items back <br />into the clearing process if the decision is yes, since these items have a high probability <br />of acceptance at the paying bank. These items will incur an additional day of availability. <br />Images that are unacceptable, nonconforming images (NCls) are entered into the deposit <br />correction system. The City will receive an adjustment notice advice as you do now for <br />paper deposit items. The City can then either rescan the item or submit the item via <br />paper deposit. <br />The data from the imaged checks are sent to J.P. Morgan for clearing optimization. <br />Items drawn on image - exchangeable endpoints will be cleared via image exchange. <br />Items drawn on non - image- enabled endpoirits wN be cleared via image replacement <br />documents (il also known as substitute checks). <br />Eligible items are cleared via ARC. J.P. Morgan employs some of the most advanced ACH- <br />eligibility decision methodologies in the industry to decide the most effective means of <br />clearing items. <br />Zero Administrative Returns (ZAR); Nonfatal ACH returns will automatically be re- <br />presented up to two times based on your account setup. <br />Preemptive Processing Intelligence (PPI): Ineligible item database logic ensures clearing <br />as a check via image exchange or IRD. <br />Notification of Change (NOG): The NOC database enables repetitive payment processing <br />edits to ensure ARC processing. <br />Deposit adjustments and return items are handled the sarne as paper items, <br />The City can use the existing current -day and prior -day balance and transaction reporting <br />that we provide for paper cash letters. These reports can be accessed via our information <br />reporting systems. <br />Security <br />Our Internet -based solution offers 128 -bit encryption and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocols <br />with data encryption to keep your transactions secure. <br />Administrative Control <br />The City of Santa Ana may configure Image Deposit Direct specifically according to the City's <br />needs. Set up users, define user IDs, passwords and assign /delete roles for staff scanning <br />documents, <br />Gast Differential <br />This solution allows the City of Santa Ana to use an integrated capture system to improve their <br />receivables management process. Image Deposit Direct (IDD) can be integrated with your <br />accounts receivables system. Integration to back - office accounting systems its available to <br />provide a seamless payment rapture system. <br />IDD offers a significant cost reduction by utilizing electronic imaging verses paper check <br />presentation. Savings will be evidenced on a per item basis with increased availability on items <br />imaged.
