E0101 <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />FILE NUMBER <br />WILA. • <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the Cooperative Agreement with <br />the Orange County Transportation Authority for Implementation of two Arterial Pavement <br />Management Program projects, subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney, <br />The City of Santa Ana and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) desire to enter <br />into a Cooperative Agreement (Exhibit 1) to define the roles and responsibilities related to the <br />funding between OCTA and the City for construction of the following projects: <br />Warner Avenue Pavement Maintenance Project (from west city limit to Grand Avenue) <br />First Street Pavement Maintenance Project (from Newhope Street to Main Street) <br />The City Council adopted Resolution No. 2014-079 on November 15, 2014, authorizing <br />submission of an application for the Arterial Pavement Management Program. Funding was <br />made available through the Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP), under the Moving <br />Ahead for Progress in the 21'c Century Federal Transportation Act. <br />On January 12, 2015, the OCTA Board of Directors approved funding for each project in the <br />amount of $500,000 in RSTP funds to be matched with $1,250,000 in City funds for each project. <br />On November 9, 2015, the City received the Cooperative Agreement from OCTA for execution. <br />25E -1 <br />
