Part Two <br />The City of Santa Ana is considering an option to extend or renegotiate the current solid waste contract. The <br />City may require the services of a consultant to assist in the process. <br />Minimum Requirements <br />Extension or Renegotiation of Current Contract: <br />1. Review City's Source Reduction and Recycling Element, Household Hazardous Waste Element, and <br />Non - Disposal Facilities Element. <br />2. Review applicable laws related to solid waste, including the City's Integrated Waste Management <br />Ordinance and Municipal Code. <br />3. Participate in at least two public workshop meetings with the City Council to establish residential <br />and commercial solid waste programs and service levels. <br />4. Collect community data on solid waste service levels through surveys, questionnaires, and meetings <br />with homeowners and business representatives. <br />5. Develop new service specifications. <br />6. Assist the City of Santa Ana in negotiating an extension or new agreement for Solid Waste <br />Management Services with the current services provider, in consultation with City staff and <br />representatives of the City Attorney's office. <br />Part Three <br />The City of Santa Ana is also considering an option to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for a new <br />solid waste services contract. The City may require the services of a consultant to assist in the process. <br />Minimum Requirements <br />1. Review City's Source Reduction and Recycling Element, Household Hazardous Waste Element, and <br />Non - Disposal Facilities Element. <br />2. Review applicable laws related to solid waste, including the City's Integrated Waste Management <br />Ordinance and Municipal Code. <br />3.
