,r �� REL: 10/17/91 <br />4o <br />�/ cc c P <br />AGREEMENT r 1/t-/ <br />THlI_S AGREEMENT, made and entered into this -1 4'_ day of <br />1991, by and between the CITY OF SANTA ANA, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ( "City ") and the <br />SANTA ANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ( "District ") <br />WITNESSETH <br />Recitals: <br />A. The District proposes to retain the services of a struc- <br />tural engineering firm to perform a structural analysis of the City <br />water tower located on the site of the District's offices on French <br />Street in the City of Santa Ana. Such services are necessary in <br />order to obtain the approval of the Office of the State Architect <br />for conversion of the site to classroom use. <br />B. The City, the District and the Co:iumunity Redevelopment <br />Agency of the City of Santa Ana have entered into an agreement, <br />dated August 19, 1986, by which the City undertook to provide <br />financial, assistance to the District for the public purpose of <br />promoting adequate schools for the school age popuI.ation residing <br />with the jurisdictions of the Cit% and the District (the "Master <br />Agreement "). <br />C. Pursuant to the Master Agreement, the City now 'esires to <br />provide funds to the District for the District's costs incurred in <br />obtaining the abovesaid engineering services. <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual and respective <br />promises, and subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set <br />1 <br />
