CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: <br />CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS <br />FOR CONSIDERATION AND APPOINTMENT TO <br />THE ORANGE COUNTY VECTOR CONTROL <br />APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 11, 2016 <br />The City of Santa Ana encourages residents to become involved in your <br />community. One way to do so is to serve in an advisory capacity on one of the <br />City's various boards and commissions. The City is now accepting applications <br />to fill a seat on the Orange County Vector Control. Below is a summary of the <br />position including duties, compensation, and requirements <br />Minimum Requirements <br />Must be a registered voter and not serve as a treasurer of a political action <br />committee. <br />Term of Appointment <br />Board of Trustee appointed member will serve a two or four year term, as <br />approved by the City Council. <br />Responsibilities <br />The District maintains a small but highly trained unit responsible for the <br />prevention, elimination or control of mosquitoes and other arthropods known to <br />be potential carriers of infectious diseases, or presenting a public nuisance.
