The Planning Commission made no changes to the draft documents in the attached staff
report (Exhibit A).
e,
The proposed zoning ordinance amendment is in response to Governor Brown's April 2015
Executive Order B -29 -15 to further water conservation in the California. The proposed update to the City's Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance and
technical Guidelines to direct for landscape professionals is consistent with the regional Municipal
Water District Orange County (MWDOC) Model, and "at least as effective" as the State of California
Water Efficiency Model Ordinance.
t.. . k._ 4I1 .11
Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 - Community Health, Livability,
Engagement and Sustalnebility, Objective #2 (expand opportunities for conservation and
environmental sustainability).
75C -1
