No employee may carry over from one (1) calendar year to the next, more than <br />the maximiun vacation carryover as set forth in the following table. Any vacation <br />not used beyond the maximum carryover amount from year to year is forfeited, <br />meaning that no pay shall be received for such unused vacation at any time. <br />Notwithstanding the foregoing, for any affected employee who is in jeopardy of <br />losing vacation because of department staffing needs, may with approval of die <br />Department Head, Executive Director of personnel Services and City Manager, <br />receive a 30 -day extension beyond the normal cutoff date so that such employee <br />will not lose vacation time. <br />IN <br />25A -44 <br />
