1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />A- 2015-232 <br />AGREEMENT TO TRANSFER FUNDS <br />FOR 2015 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) <br />PROGRAM DJ -BX -0226 <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this jj.L day of S- ep�emhek 2015, which date is <br />enumerated for purposes of reference only, by and between the COUNTY OF ORANGE, a <br />political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY ", and the City' <br />of ( 41 I-f q, a municipal corporation. <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY, acting through its Sheriff- Coroner Department, hereinafter' <br />referred to as SHERIFF, in its capacity as the lead agency on behalf of 10 (ten) units of local <br />government, including SHERIFF and the cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden <br />Grove, Huntington Beach, La Habra, Orange, Santa Ana and Westminster; hereafter referred to <br />as "SUBGRANTEES ". <br />As required by the jurisdictional application, the SHERIFF has applied for, received and <br />accepted the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of <br />Justice, Office of Justice Programs, and Bureau of Justice Assistance (hereinafter referred to as <br />"JAG ". <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to supplement the resources available to prevent <br />and control crime within the County of Orange that are operated by individual agencies included <br />in the above - referenced 10 units of local government, as set forth in Attachment A "Program <br />Narrative ", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />WHEREAS, the terms of the grant require that certain grant funds be transferred to <br />SUBGRANTEE to be used for grant purposes, which may include local initiatives, technical <br />assistance, strategic planning, research & evaluation, data collection, training, personnel, <br />equipment, forensic laboratories, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for law <br />enforcement, as more particularly described in Attachment A hereto. <br />28 CFDA 16.738 <br />PY2015 JAG Progravn <br />U.S. Department of Justice <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
