Chestnut Avenue <br />Santa Ana, California 92701 <br />MINUTES <br />Santa Ana Unified School District / City of Santa Ana Council <br />Joint Policy Meeting <br />November 2, 2015 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Santa Ana Unified School <br />District (SAUSD) Board President Palacio. <br />SAUSD staff members present were Dr, Miller, Superintendent of Schools; Dr. <br />Phillips, Deputy Superintendent, Operations; Dr. Haglund, Deputy Superintendent, <br />Educational Services; Mr, Williams, Assistant Superintendent, Facilities and <br />Governmental Relations; Dr. Lopez - Guerra, Director of Community Relations; and Dr. <br />Rodriguez, Chief of School Police, <br />City Council member present was Roman Rayne. <br />City staff members present: David Cavazos, City Manager; Gerardo Mouet, PRCSA <br />Executive Director; Ron Ono, Administrative Services Manager; Jeannie Jurado, <br />Community Services Manager; Robert Cortez, Special Assistant to the City Manager; <br />Jorge Garcia, Sr. Management Assistant, and Julie Castro - Cardenas, City of Santa <br />Ana. <br />PUBLIC CObMNTS <br />There were no individuals wishing to comment. <br />Change in Order of Agenda <br />4.0 Updates <br />4.1 City Produced Events: SOMOS, City Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Plaza <br />Navidena <br />Ms. Jurado provided an update on upcoming city events; Mr. Cavazos suggested <br />synchronizing Plaza Navidef,a with the lighting of the tree; Mr. Rayne suggested for <br />student Mariachis to collaborate with professional musicians at future events. <br />Councilmember Ame>_cua arrived at 5;36 p.m, and Councilmember Tinajerc arrived <br />at 5:41 p.m. <br />1.0 Approval of Minutes of the August 24, 2015 District /City Minutes <br />Moved by Counoilmember Reyna and seconded by Councilmember Amezcua to approve <br />Minutes of August 24, 2015, <br />13A -3 <br />
