Contract Award for Repair of Various City Heating - Ventilation -Air Conditioning Systems

<br />Proposals were received, opened on November 12, 2015 and evaluated (Exhibit 1). Proposals
<br />were scored based in part on the specifications, vendor experience, financial stability, resources
<br />and pricing structure. All four proposals received and evaluated meet the City's requirements.
<br />Staff requests Council award contracts to ACCO Engineering, FM Thomas, Johnson Controls
<br />Inc., and Trane in a not to exceed annual amount of $100,000 each for a not to exceed annual
<br />grand total amount of $400,000 to provide HVAC repair and emergency call out services.
<br />Each of the four contracts will have a term of three years, an option to renew for one year, and a
<br />30 -day out clause. Said contracts are subject to CA Department of Industrial Relations prevailing
<br />wage regulations.
<br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
<br />Approval of this item supports City efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & Infrastructure
<br />- Objective 1 (Establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City assets),
<br />Strategy C (Invest resources and technology to extend the service life of existing infrastructure
<br />to protect the City's investment and support a high quality of life standard).
<br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
<br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are
<br />exempt from further review.
