Administrative Plan 4/1/16 Page 8-13 <br />SAHA Policy <br />The maximum length of time that a HAP payment may be abated is 60 days. However, if <br />the owner completes corrections and notifies SAHA before the termination date of the <br />HAP contract, SAHA may rescind the termination notice if (1) the family still resides in <br />the unit and wishes to remain in the unit and (2) the unit passes inspection. If after 30 <br />days of abatement and owner has not completed repairs, SAHA will advise family to <br />search for another unit. <br />Reasonable notice of HAP contract termination by SAHA is 30 days. <br /> <br />8-II.H. ENFORCING FAMILY COMPLIANCE WITH HQS [24 CFR 982.404(b)] <br />Families are responsible for correcting any HQS violations listed in paragraph 8.I.D.
