Administrative Plan 4/1/2016 Page 16-22 <br />SAHA Policy <br />SAHA will not enter into a repayment agreement with a family if the family has a current <br />or past repayment agreement. Any amount that is owed by the family will need to be <br />paid in full within 60 days of meeting with SAHA to sign acknowledgement of debt <br />owed. <br /> <br /> <br />Repayment Agreements Involving Improper Payments <br />Notice PIH 2010-19 requires certain provisions to be included in any repayment agreement <br />involving amounts owed by a family because it underreported or failed to report income: <br />• A reference to the items in the family briefing packet that state the family’s obligation to <br />provide true and complete information at every reexamination and the grounds on which <br />SAHA may terminate assistance because of a family’s action or failure to act <br />• A statement clarifying that each month the family not only must pay to SAHA the monthly <br />payment amount specified in the agreement but must also pay to the owner the family’s <br />monthly share of the rent to owner <br />• A statement that the terms of the repayment agreement may be renegotiated if the family’s <br />income decreases or increases <br />• A statement that late or missed payments constitute default of the repayment agreement and <br />may result in termination of assistance <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3-366
