Based on a staff analysis of the bids <br />received, staff recommends award of a construction contract to California Professional <br />Engineering Inc. (Exhibit 2). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 — Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy G (develop and implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />coordination with the Community Investment Plan (e.g., neighborhood streets, traffic <br />improvements, park facilities, bike master plan, etc.). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended action is not <br />considered a CEQA project. Therefore, no environmental documentation is required. <br />23A -2 <br />
