Major (Rtd) Dear Mr. Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br />Sheri Leverett, USN <br />(Program Graduate) Veterans First is writing in support of First Street Apartments located at 1440 E. First <br />Dr. Alfonso Alvarez, CNG Street in the City of Santa Ana - an affordable housing community proposed by <br />OC Social Services AMCAL Multi -Housing, Inc. (AMCAL). Founded over 45 years ago, and headquartered <br />Daniel Foster, USA in the City of Santa Ana, Veterans First is the only 501c(3) agency in Orange County <br />Silver Star Recipient OEF that works to provide services exclusively to our region's veterans. Our organization <br />Honorary Advisory Board provides a multitude of services including housing, meals, life coaching counseling, life <br />Honorable Ed Royce skills, access to mental health counseling, benefit counseling, transportation, as well <br />Honorable Loretta Sanchez as job training and employment placement assistance. <br />Judge Eileen Moore, USA <br />Service members encounter a series of needs as they transition out of the military, and <br />Advisory Board access to decent, affordable housing is one of the greatest needs for veterans in Santa <br />Cherie Navarro, CEO Ana and Orange County. In particular, there is a great need for the type of housing <br />Military Children's Charity proposed by AMCAL, with a unique mix of two, three and four-bedroom unit sizes to <br />Darlene Powell, OCMHA <br />Mental Health Counselor ensure that families and a diverse segment of the community is housed.
