While every effort has been made to assure the accuracy of this
booklet, it should be understood that it does not have the force and
effect of law, rule, or regulation governing the payment of benefits.
Should any difference or error occur, the law will take precedence.
This booklet is provided for informational purposes only and does
not constitute a determination of eligibility for relocation benefits.
It describes the relocation payments and other relocation assistance
provided under the Uniform Act to displaced businesses, nonprofit
organizations and farms. This includes any such occupant that
moves from real property, or moves personal property from real
property, as a direct result of rehabilitation, demolition or
acquisition for a public project. If you are notified that you will be
displaced, it is important that you do not move before you learn
what you must do to receive the relocation payments and other
assistance to which you are entitled.
This brochure provides information about available relocation
services and payments. If you are required to move as the result of
the City's project, a Relocation Agent will contact you. The
Relocation Agent will be able to answer your specific questions and
provide additional information.
This booklet may not answer all of your questions. If you have more
questions about your relocation, contact the City's representative
responsible for the project. Ask your questions before you move.
Afterwards, it may be too late.
3
55B -66
