Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />CONSTRIICTABILITY REVIEW <br />FOR TIIE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />RFP NO.: 16 -008 <br />A. DESCRIPTION <br />The City desires to engage a professional consultant(s) to perform constructability review to support delivery <br />of the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP), while maintaining the highest quality construction <br />standards, and identifying potential risk and cost savings. <br />The City is soliciting proposals to assist in the delivery of an ambitious $80 million CIP over the next five <br />years. Projects may include buildings, bridges, pump and lift stations, park facilities, street pavement, traffic <br />signals, underground utilities improvements. <br />The selected consultant may enter into an agreement with the City to provide constructability review services <br />on an as- needed basis. <br />B. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The required services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />1. Provide pre - design or design stage constructability review necessary to complete the design <br />effort according to the project plans, special provisions, California Building Code (CBC), the <br />Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ( "Green Book "), Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications and other Federal, State or local specifications. <br />2. Attend constructability review meeting with City Staff, engineer of record, other team members; <br />and contractors, if required. Consultant shall provide meeting minutes and distribute it to the <br />attendees. <br />3. The Consultant shall be a registered engineer in the State of California. <br />4. Provide service for large or complex projects. <br />5. Provide service for projects with tight construction timeline, <br />6. Provide service for projects with new method of construction being proposed. <br />7. Conduct field review to review the scope of work and identify constructability issues. <br />8. Deliver a constructability report along the reviewed document to the City. <br />9. Provide service for Design/Build projects. <br />10.
