jmf 5/4/2016 <br />provided that said district does not include any street on its outer boundary and sections <br />of any street abutting non - residential uses within said district's boundary. <br />Section 3. Permit parking restrictions shall apply to all portions of the Valley <br />Adams and Centennial Park Neighborhoods, unless excluded by section 2 of this <br />Resolution. Permit parking restrictions shall apply to those portions of the Valley High <br />Permit Parking District as are determined to be in need of such restrictions by the <br />Executive Director of the Public Works Agency. The Executive Director of the Public <br />Works Agency is authorized to post appropriate signs giving notice of permit parking <br />restrictions in those portions of the District where permit parking restrictions apply. <br />Section 4. The parking restrictions imposed pursuant to Article XI and this <br />Resolution shall apply to any block within the Valley High Permit Parking District only <br />after a petition signed by the owners of sixty -six percent (66 %) or more of the residential <br />lots abutting such block have filed a petition with the Executive Director of the Public <br />Works Agency expressing their desire for such parking restrictions, and after signs <br />indicating the parking restrictions on such block have been erected in accordance with <br />Article XI. <br />Section 5. No person shall park or stop any vehicle on any portion of any <br />street, at any time, within the Valley High Permit Parking District as to which signs have <br />been erected indicating the application of permit parking restrictions and the specific <br />nature of the parking limitation, except persons and vehicles exempted from such <br />parking restrictions pursuant to Article XI and this Resolution. <br />Section 6. Persons entitled to a permit in locations subject to permit <br />restrictions pursuant to this Resolution include and are limited to the following: <br />a. Any person who is licensed to drive a motor vehicle and who resides in a <br />single- family dwelling located on a lot in the District which does not have more than one <br />dwelling unit located on it, provided that not more than three permits may be issued at <br />any one time to the residents of any one such dwelling unit. <br />b. Any person who is licensed to drive a motor vehicle and who resides in a <br />multiple - family dwelling located on any lot in the Valley High Permit Parking District <br />which does not have more than four dwelling units located on it, provided that not more <br />than one permit may be issued at any one time to the residents of any one such <br />dwelling unit; and provided further, that the Executive Director of the Public Works <br />Agency may waive the foregoing limitation on the number of permits and dwelling units <br />on a lot if he or she determines that its application in a particular case would cause <br />extreme hardship on the residents of such dwelling units due to a severe inadequacy of <br />on -site parking. <br />Resolution No. 2016 -xxx <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />y <br />
