EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11/06/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-19 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2511 N. NORTH PARK BOULEVARD, SANTA ANA, ON <br />THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING <br />HISTORIC REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-20 <br />PLACING SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 6, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-19) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-20) of the H.C. Head House, located at 2511 N. <br />North Park Boulevard, Santa Ana. <br />B. The H.C. Head House has distinctive architectural features of the Tudor <br />Revival style, and was built in 1935. Mr. Horace Head was a prominent <br />attorney for the County of Orange Flood Control District and later became <br />Orange County District Attorney as well as President of the Orange <br />County Bar Association. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its association with <br />H. C. Head and because it is "a good example of period architecture." <br />D. Character -defining features of the H. C. Head House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, all exterior materials, roof <br />configuration, decorative chimney brickwork, original windows where <br />extant, and distinctive wooden front door. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are Charles Jude and Angela <br />Dawn Dzama. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />Resolution No. 2014-08 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
