EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />11/20/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-35 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-41 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2441 NORTH RIVERSIDE DRIVE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-41 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS. <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 20, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-41) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-41) of the Henderson House, located at 2441 <br />North Riverside Drive, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Henderson House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Monterey style variant with Colonial Revival details, was built in 1933 for <br />Frank and Bertha Henderson. Mr. Henderson was a Santa Ana city <br />employee who worked in the Finance Department, and later became <br />Superintendent of Schools for the Santa Ana School District; Mrs. <br />Henderson was a schoolteacher. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Contributive because it is "a <br />good example of period architecture." <br />D. Character -defining features of the Henderson House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, exterior materials including <br />stucco, stucco texture, and wood siding, original windows where extant, <br />shutters, massing and articulation. <br />E.
