Personnel Services <br />The purpose of this guideline is to establish uniform procedures to properly identify visitors <br />and control access at City Hall and Floss Annex, <br />II. Procedure <br />A. Identification and sign -in process for all visitors <br />1. All visitors, including employee/contractor family members and delivery service <br />drivers, roust sign -in with the receptionist, be registered in the visitor log, show photo <br />identification, and be Issued a temporary visitor pass prior to accessing the basement <br />and floors two and above at City Hail and Ross Annex, <br />Exceptions <br />i. In accordance with §54953.5 and §54953.6 of the Government Code, <br />mernbers of the public attending legislative body meetings, such as city <br />council, council committees, board and commission, and board of directors <br />meetings, may not be asked to sign -in or identify thernselves in order to attend <br />such meetings.. <br />b. Temporary visitor passes are NOT required for uniformed fire or law <br />enforcement personnel, <br />B. Visitors without photo identification or not registered in the online visitor log. <br />1. A visitor who does not have a photo identification card in his or her possession can <br />be granted access by the receptionist, security personnel, or a City employee. Entry <br />is granted based on: <br />a. The individual being recognized; or <br />b. The need to enter has been established by a City staff member; and <br />c. The person registers in the visitor log. <br />2. A visitor not registered by staff in the online visitor log will be granted access only <br />after: <br />a. Identity has been verified; and <br />b. The need to enter has been established by a City staff member; and <br />c. The visitor is added to the visitor log by the receptionist which would include <br />the following information: <br />a Visitor name <br />a Reason for visit <br />Staff contact person <br />a Contact person phone number <br />
