Downtown Mural Project Update <br />August 2, 2016 <br />Page 3 <br />The Downtown Mural Project, including the Call for Artists, was developed with input from local <br />artists, mural arts experts, and community stakeholders, including (but not limited to): <br />• City of Santa Ana Arts & Culture Commission <br />• Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles <br />• City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program <br />• Downtown, Inc. <br />• Santa Ana Business Council <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #3 - Economic Development, <br />Objective #4 (Continue to pursue objectives that shape downtown Santa Ana into a thriving, <br />culturally diverse, shopping, dining, and entertainment destination), Strategy D (Support the <br />already - established and growing community of artists living and working downtown through <br />support and promotion of artist events and activities). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. <br />Exhibit: 1.
