Over the past <br />several years, the City has engaged in many economic development activities that have led to an <br />increase in investment, the attraction and retention of businesses, and a more sustainable <br />business - friendly environment. <br />The attached memo (Exhibit 1) provides an update on the many economic development <br />accomplishments and efforts during that time. These accomplishments satisfy many of the City's <br />Strategic Plan Economic Development Goals by "bringing jobs and opportunity to the City and <br />provide tax revenues for public services that benefit the entire community ". <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #3 - Economic Development. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. <br />EXHIBIT: 1.
