Santa Ana Arts Future <br />Engagement Findings Report <br />Santa Ana Community Survey Summary <br />Respondent Profile <br />Approximately 70% of all respondents live in Santa Ana with 40% also working in the city. <br />Twenty-one percent (21 %) work in the city but live elsewhere in Orange County. The <br />majority of the 8% of respondents who selected "Other" indicate they live outside the city <br />and visit friends, family, or visit for specific events and happenings in Santa Ana. <br />Did not Under <br />65 and disclose, 21. 20I <br />over, 7, <br />55.6 <br />years <br />14/0 <br />Of the online survey respondents, 42% <br />are female, 21 % are male, 5% <br />identified as another gender, and 32% <br />preferred not to answer. <br />The age range of respondents is broad <br />with 2% under the age of 21, 30% <br />between the ages of 21 and 34 years, <br />24% between the ages of 35 and 44 <br />years, 19% between the ages of 45 <br />and 54 years, and 21 % over the age of <br />55 years. <br />Sixty-two percent (62%) of the total respondents consider themselves to be an artist, <br />craftsperson, or creative worker (regardless of earning income). Of those, 18% identify as <br />professional artists and 11 % identify as an aspiring artist, while 29% identify as artists who <br />do art as a leisure activity or hobby. Sixty-five percent of those who identify as professional <br />artists make the majority of their income from their art (chart below).
