Pacific Tennis Courts Inc. <br />submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $225,570. This bid amount is comparable <br />to the engineer's estimate of $249,800 (Exhibit 2). <br />Since there are sufficient funds available, staff recommends including in the construction contract <br />Additive Alternates 1 and 2 in the amount of $37,440. Therefore, staff recommends awarding a <br />contract to Pacific Tennis Courts Inc, in amount of $263,010, which includes the base bid plus <br />Additive Alternates 1 and 2 (Exhibit 3). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy B (invest resources and technology to extend the service life of existing <br />infrastructure to protect the City's investment and support a high quality of life standard). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review ER 2016-67 has been <br />filed for this project. In addition, a Certification of Categorical Exclusion and Statutory Worksheet <br />have been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. <br />23A-2 <br />
