(b) The aforementioned requirements to place non - Recyclable Solid Waste, <br />Recyclable Solid Waste and Yard Waste in appropriate Solid Waste collection and Recycling <br />plastic carts shall not apply to Christmas trees properly placed for collection. <br />(c) Whenever any Solid Waste that does not comply with the above standards and <br />limitations is not collected by CONTRACTOR, CONTRACTOR shall leave a notice, the format <br />of which is subject to the approval of the CITY, indicating the reason for non - collection at such <br />Curbside Service Unit. Said notice shall also contain the CONTRACTOR'S business name and <br />his local telephone number. A copy of said notice shall be delivered, or sent via telephone <br />facsimile, to the CITY upon request by the Executive Director and, if the reason for noncollection <br />is not corrected within seven (7) days, CONTRACTOR shall notify the CITY as to this continued <br />noncollection. <br />13. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY CONTRACTOR TO CITY FOR CITY <br />OPERATIONS: <br />(a) CITY GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS: CONTRACTOR shall collect all Solid <br />Waste and Construction and Demolition Solid Waste which is generated by CITY govermnent <br />operations at no cost to the CITY. The CITY shall provide CONTRACTOR with a list of locations <br />of bins and /or roll -off containers from which such Solid Waste shall be collected. Said list may be <br />modified by time to time by the Executive Director. Solid Waste generated by such CITY <br />operations shall be collected by CONTRACTOR per a schedule provided to CONTRACTOR by <br />the Executive Director which schedule shall be approved between the CONTRACTOR and the <br />Executive Director. <br />(b) STREET SWEEPING: The CONTRACTOR will coordinate with the Executive <br />Director to ensure that Solid Waste collection is compatible with the CITY'S street sweeping <br />operations. CONTRACTOR will be required to complete their designated routes each day so as <br />not to interfere with the CITY'S street sweeping operations. <br />(c) NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUPS: The Contractor shall supply rolloff containers <br />for CITY sponsored neighborhood cleanups at no cost to the CITY. The number of roll off <br />containers shall not exceed a maximum total number of three hundred (300) containers annually. <br />Notwithstanding the above, at any time that the CITY determines that the number <br />of collections and /or the number of roll -off containers provided for in section (c) is not adequately <br />meeting the CITY'S needs, then the CITY and CONTRACTOR agree to meet and confer <br />regarding these provisions, and may, by mutual agreement, modify the number of collections <br />and/or roll -off containers. <br />(d) The CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with the Executive Director to provide <br />household hazardous waste collection events allowing residents to deliver their waste to a <br />collection site for proper disposal by CONTRACTOR. <br />(e) The CONTRACTOR shall administer a Residential Mail -Back Service, providing <br />containers approved for safe disposal of used medical sharps by residents. Wben the container is <br />full, the resident will mail it for incineration at an authorized facility. This program will be offered <br />to residential customers who, for medical reasons, require the use of medical sharps. <br />10 <br />25 E -17 <br />
