Attacherneot A 2016 -DJ -BX -0746 <br />PURPOSE AREAS: <br />Law Enforcement Programs - Overtime <br />PROJECT NARRRTI g <br />The Anaheim Police Department (APO) is requesting to use JAG funds to support overtime expenses for <br />sworn personnel in the following divisions: Field Services, Community Services, Investigations, Support <br />Services, Administration, and Special Enforcement. Although the police department has been actively <br />recruiting and hiring new officers, staffing levels are still low, Therefore, utilizing overtime hours is <br />necessaryto enhance public safety for the residents, visitors, and businesses in Anaheim. <br />Overtime hours will be assigned to employees within the previously mentioned six divisions at the <br />discretion of APD's command staff, <br />i?ROJECT GOALS <br />The goal for this project is to improve and enhance the community's safety, while working with a limited <br />budget and reduced staffing levels. In order to accomplish this, overtime hours will be authorized at the <br />discretion of the department's command staff. <br />PROJECT STRATEGIES <br />Overtime hours will be authorized for individual employees at the discretion of the command staff. A <br />separate account code will be assigned specifically for this project. Acopy of all overtime documents <br />will be approved by the appropriate personnel prior tosubmission For reimbursement. A payroll report <br />of all overtime hours and any otherrequired documentation will be included in each reimbursement <br />request submitted tothe Orange County Sheriffs Department, <br />PROJECT IDENTIFIERS <br />Overtime <br />B-Q-Q9 iIETAIi ANDNARRATIllE <br />Overtime for the Department's personnel will range from $45,00 to $110.00 per hour, depending <br />on the position and rank of each employee.
