MuniServices strong qualifications, experience and client references as well as an <br />appropriate proposed scope of services and time of performance will provide a flexible and cost - <br />effective auditing program. MuniServices staff has extensive experience in implementing Sales <br />and Use Tax audit programs and in providing consulting services for comparable cities, including <br />the California cities of San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Anaheim, among <br />others. <br />MuniServices' proposal was the only proposal submitted for the UUT component of the RFP. <br />Therefore, MuniServices was selected to provide the compliance, auditing and consulting <br />services for the UUT. <br />As part of the submitted Sales and Use Tax proposal and agreed terms for the auditing services, <br />MuniServices will provide the following services: <br />1. Audit and recovery services of unreported, underreported and misallocation of Sales <br />and Use Tax as well as correction of reporting errors and corrections through the <br />appeals process. <br />2. Comprehensive reporting and analytics including economic dashboards, ad hoc <br />reporting and increased data mining and integration. <br />3. Monitor and analyze the State Board of Equalization's quarterly distribution reports. <br />4. Legislative services and analysis regarding pertinent Sales and Use Tax legislation and <br />regulations and state agency liaison and implementation monitoring. <br />5. Sales and Use Tax and UUT web -based software application, which will enable staff to <br />access the City's Sales and Use Tax and UUT data and be able to extract, analyze, <br />and utilize the available data. <br />55B -3 <br />
