AWARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF GRANT -FUNDED SAFE <br />ROUTES TO SCHOOL ENHANCEMENTS AT MONTE VISTA ELEMENTARY <br />(PROJECT NO 16-6873) {STRATEGIC PLAN NOS. 6, 1B & 1G} - Public Works <br />Agency <br />MOTION: <br />1. Award a contract and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a construction contract to KDC Inc., dba <br />Dynalectric, the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with the <br />base bid in the amount of $332,234 for the term beginning upon <br />execution of the contract and ending upon project completion, for the <br />Safe Routes to School Enhancements at Monte Vista Elementary, <br />subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and <br />the City Attorney. <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated project <br />delivery cost of $411,658, which includes the contract bid amount, <br />administration, inspection and testing, and an authorized contingency <br />of $33,224. <br />*Councilmember Benavides abstained from Agenda Item 23B, due to potential <br />conflict of interest and proximtiy to his residence. <br />23C. AWARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF GRANT -FUNDED MAPLE <br />BIKE TRAIL SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS PHASE II (PROJECT: 16-6864) <br />{STRATEGIC PLAN NOS. 6, 1 B & 1 G} - Public Works Agency <br />MOTION: <br />1.
