ATTACHMENT B <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-070 <br />ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY <br />2016 TRANSIT AND INTERCITY RAIL CAPITAL GRANT PROGRAM <br />AUTHORIZATION <br />WHEREAS, the California State Transportation Agency, in collaboration with the <br />California Department of Transportation, administers the Transit and Intercity Rail <br />Capital Program to fund transformative capital improvements that will modernize the <br />State's intercity, commuter, and urban rail systems, and bus and ferry transit systems, <br />to significantly reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, vehicle miles traveled, and <br />congestion, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority applied for and was <br />awarded grant funds as an eligible grantee of Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program <br />funds, and; <br />WHEREAS, the California State Transportation Agency and California <br />Department of Transportation requires the grantee to certify, by resolution, the <br />acceptance of awarded grant funds and authority to execute grant -related agreements <br />for the purpose of implementing the grant project; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the <br />Orange County Transportation Authority authorizes the Chief Executive Officer, or <br />designee, to file and execute grant applications and agreements, certifications and <br />assurances, and other documents for and on behalf of the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority for the purpose of obtaining financial assistance awarded <br />through the Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program. <br />ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this day of 2016. <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ATTEST: <br />Laurena Weinert Lori Donchak, Chair <br />Clerk of the Board Orange County Transportation Authority <br />OCTA Resolution No. 2016-070 <br />20B-14 <br />
