All trees that exhibit the signs of disease or pests, or any other signs of distress shall be <br />inspected by an International Society of Arborist TRAQ Certified Hazardous Tree <br />Professional approved by the Director's Representative. Contractor shall provide an <br />exact location and separate evaluation /report for each tree in decline. Contractor shall <br />treat any tree in decline at no additional cost to City. Should the TRAQ Certified <br />Hazardous Tree Professional determine that the tree had a terminal disease that the <br />Contractor could not have treated or prevented, the Contractor shall not be responsible to <br />replace the tree. However, should the TRAQ Certified Hazardous 'free Professional <br />determine that the tree's unhealthy condition or death could have been prevented had the <br />Contractor treated the tree then Contractor shall be responsible for the cost of treatment to <br />restore the tree to a healthy condition or replace the tree. The latest American Shade Tree <br />Conference guidelines for value determination will determine the value of the trees lost. <br />By entering into agreement with the City the Contractor acknowledges that they accept <br />the condition of each tree and should a tree go into decline or expire, the Contractor <br />agrees to replace the tree with like species and size or agree that the City shall withhold <br />payment equal to the value of the tree. <br />6.0 Playground/Tot -Lot Areas <br />6.1 Daily Maintenance - The playgroumd /tot -lots /equipment shall be blown free of debris, <br />sand /wood chips on play equipment, nibberized fall areas and surrounding concrete areas <br />daily. Any sand /wood chips that accumulate on the rubberized surface shall be reused. <br />Sand/wood chips and debris on the playground equipment shall be removed. <br />6.2 Weekly Maintenance - The Contractor shall loosen compacted sand/wood chip areas, re- <br />grade sand/wood chips areas to level condition (eliminating ruts, depressions, build up <br />areas, etc.), sifting of sand /wood chips to assure that debris and any other foreign objects <br />are removed, removal of weeds, and remove exposed filter fiber and dispose of, <br />The City shall be responsible for all playground equipment and tot -lot area safety <br />inspections. <br />7.0 Sport Court Maintenance <br />7.1 All sport courts shall be blown off daily. Courts and fence lines shall be completely free <br />of dirt, debris, etc. <br />7.2 Contractor shall continuously replace tennis and basketball nets when they become worn <br />or vandalized. The City shall furnish nets. <br />8.0 General Maintenance and Clean-Up <br />The Contractor shall establish a Trash Crew to blow down all paved areas, pick -up trash/debris <br />and to empty /clean trash receptacles daily. <br />Daily Maintenance <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 16 -126 <br />OR 1 <br />25D -18 <br />
