ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 33, ARTICLE VII, OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE ROLE AND DUTIES OF THE <br />ENVIRONMENTAL AND TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />(ETAC) {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 1 G) - Public Works Agency <br />Gil Salmon, indicated that vote by the ETAC is not included in the report; <br />advisory role is split with environmental aspects advisory to the City Council and <br />the transportation issues to the Public Works Director; concerned with ordinance <br />as proposed; suggested amendment to ordinance to be advisory to the City <br />Council in all matters. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Martinez, does not support as proposed; committee members <br />are to be accountable to the City Council; proposed motion to table matter, <br />seconded by Mayor Pulido. <br />Councilmember Benavides, asked if role was expanded and who they are <br />advisory to. <br />Executive Director of Public Works Agency, Fred Mousavipour, indicated that <br />Council Committee on transportation issues already exist. <br />Councilmember Benavides, focus has been environmental although the title <br />allows for transportation; offered a substitute motion to allow for both the <br />environmental and transportation issues to be advisory to the City Council, as <br />requested by speaker. <br />SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Place amended ordinance on first reading and <br />authorize publication of title. <br />ORDINANCE NO.
