Proposed security upgrades to this point of entry are <br />intended to enhance the overall safety and security of the facility. The project includes: installation of an <br />electro -mechanical, crash -rated gate; a remote -operated drop beam barrier; flush -mounted spike units; a <br />guardhouse structure; and upgrades to the two existing gate operators. Once completed, the security <br />improvements will better protect employees, visitors, building functions, and services from potential <br />threats, such as unauthorized vehicles. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on August 23 and 30, 2016, and bids were opened on September <br />13, 2016.
