John M. Bellas, LEED AP, ENV SP <br />Senior Associate <br />Mr. Bellas is a recognized expert in the environmental planning field in the <br />Los Angeles area, and has assisted cities and counties across California in <br />developing and implementing unique strategies to comply with CEQA. He <br />has 17 years of experience managing the preparation of numerous CEQA <br />and NEPA documents for a wide range of projects, including land use <br />plans/programs, land development/entitlement projects, and capital <br />improvement projects. In addition, he has served as an in-house/on-call <br />environmental coordinator for several prominent Southern California cities, <br />including the City of Pasadena, where he has been responsible for all of the <br />City's CEQA documentation. Mr. Bellas has conducted specialized CEQA <br />training programs for client cities and served as an instructor in the AEP <br />Advanced CEQA Workshop series. He has a long history of assisting cities <br />with the organization of their CEQA documentation and establishment of <br />CEQA policy, including acting as project manager for the City of Los <br />Angeles's Initial Study Software Program and for the City of Santa Clarita's <br />Initial Study template. <br />Education <br />BS, Environmental Resource Management, Minor in Marine Science <br />Pennsylvania State University <br />Relevant Project Experience <br />* Denotes work or projects completed prior tojoining Michael Baker International. <br />City of Pasadena, Environmental Coordinator. Has served as the City of <br />Pasadena's environmental coordinator since April 2013, and is responsible <br />for overseeing the preparation and management of all of the City's <br />environmental documents.
