PROCEDURE <br /> DETERMINATION OF AVERAGE RATE PER CUBIC YARD OF SERVICE <br /> 1 . Develop a single basis to which each contractor ' s rates <br /> and service schedules can be applied . Use the actual <br /> service being provided in Santa Ana for this base : <br /> A. Develop a summary of actual Santa Ana apartment <br /> service by reviewing the Great Western customer records. <br /> See Schedule A for summary format . <br /> B. Develop a summary of actual Santa Ana commercial <br /> bin service , excluding apartments , by reviewing the Great <br /> Western customer records. See Schedule B for summary <br /> format . <br /> 2 . Develop the service and rate schedules of each <br /> contractor by contacting each city and verifying the <br /> information with the contractor . Actual schedules offered <br /> shall take precedence over contracted schedules . See <br /> Schedule C for format. <br /> 3 . Develop the minimum service offered by each contractor <br /> that would be required to meet the service needs of Santa <br /> Ana . Then , determine the corresponding rates of each <br /> contractor . See Schedule D for format . <br /> A. The Santa Ana service and number of containers are <br /> shown in Schedule B. <br /> B. The Santa Ana service requirement is the cubic <br /> yardage determined by multiplying the size of the container <br /> by the weekly frequency of service . <br /> C. A contractor ' s minimum service shall be the <br /> minimum service offered by his service schedule that is at <br /> least equal to the Santa Ana service requirement, with both <br /> expressed in cubic yards . <br /> D. Schedule C will provide all data necessary to <br /> determine each contractor' s minimum service and <br /> corresponding rates . <br /> 4 . Calculate the total cost to Santa Ana customers if <br /> their service was provided under the service and rate <br /> schedules used in the cities of Anaheim, Fullerton , <br /> Huntington Beach and Orange .
