ATTACHMENT A <br /> STANDARD SERVICE <br /> GENERAL COMMENTS <br /> 1- The Residential Average Rate shall be determined using the <br /> prevailing rates, as adjusted, in the cities of Anaheim, <br /> Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach and <br /> Orange. <br /> 2- The prevailing rates to be used in this procedure shall be <br /> the published rate for determining contractor payments, <br /> regardless of the base unit to which it applies. <br /> a- The base unit for residential rates varies from <br /> city to city. For exnmpie, Anaheim uses electric <br /> meters while Santa Ana has used water meters and <br /> other cities use service units. <br /> b- Effective July 1, 1978, Santa Ana's base unit shall <br /> be changed to service units as follows: <br /> NON-BIN SERNICE UNITS - - - <br /> Single Family 35, 008 <br /> Business 2,156 <br /> Duplex 3, 098 <br /> Triplex 765 <br /> apart .ents 673 <br /> Total Service Units 41,700 <br /> 3- The prevailing rates shall be adjusted whenever a city's <br /> residential contract i_cludes_ apar ment service. <br /> a- This adjustment is to compensate for the effect <br /> the apartment revenue has on the residential rates. <br /> b- The basis for the calculation of the adjustment <br /> shall be the actual apartment service being provided <br /> in the City of Santa Ana as determined by the records <br /> of the City's contractor. <br /> c- The amount of the adjustment shall be the difference <br /> between the total incdme from that service under <br /> 1 Santa Aria rates and the total income from the same <br /> service under other cities' rates. <br /> d- The adjustment shall then be divided by the total <br /> . residential service units in Santa Ana and applied to <br /> the appropriate city's prevailing rate. <br /> • <br /> is <br />
