AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR REFUSE COLLECTION <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day <br /> of -tuntmsr , 1976, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a <br /> muncipal corporation of the State of California ("City") , and <br /> Great Western Reclamation, Inc. , a wholly owned subsidiary of <br /> SCA Services, Inc. , a corporation ("Contractor") ; <br /> WITNESSET H: <br /> Recitals: <br /> 1. City and Contractor have heretofore, on or about <br /> August 12, 1963, entered into a certain agreement P'said agreement") <br /> for the collection of refuse within the City of Santa Ana, which said <br /> agreement was thereafter, from time to time amended in certain respects. <br /> 2. The parties desire to amend said agreement, as amended <br /> to express their present contractual intent. <br /> WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual covenants and <br /> agreements, hereinafter contained, and subject to the terms and con- <br /> ditions hereof, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> Section 1. Weight Limitation <br /> Subsection (f) of Section 2 of the specifications dated <br /> June 17, 1963, attached to and made a part of said agreement ("said <br /> specifications") is hereby amended to read as follows, effective <br /> May 'l, 1976: <br /> (f) Preparation of refuse. <br /> All refuse shall be placed in containers <br /> adequate to eliminate overflow or contamination of <br /> surrounding areas. Individual containers must not <br /> weigh in excess of fifteen (15) pounds empty or <br /> have a capacity exceeding thirty five (35) gallons. <br /> Total combined weight of container and contents - <br /> shall not exceed fifty (50) pounds . Cardboard or <br /> wooden carton, acceptable as temporary containers, <br /> will be considered as trash and will not be returned <br /> 4 <br />
