Y <br /> between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8 :00 p.m. , <br /> and collections from commercial and industrial <br /> locations other than multi-family residential <br /> units or from locations immediately adjacent <br /> to residential units may start at 3:00 a.m. <br /> provided, however, that if the Director of <br /> Public Works determines that the commencement <br /> of collection in residential areas between the <br /> `hours of 5: 00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. unduly and un- <br /> necessarily disturbs the residents thereof,. he <br /> may direct that collections in such areas shall <br /> be made between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and .8:00 <br /> p.m. , and in that event, Contractor agrees to <br /> comply with such order. <br /> Section 3. Compensation Readjustment. <br /> The first full paragraph of subsection (b) of Section 4 <br /> • of said specifications is hereby amended to read as follows, effec- <br /> tive May 1, 1976: <br /> (b) Compensation readjustment. <br /> On the first day of July of each year, during <br /> the term hereof, commencing July 1, 1976, the contract <br /> unit price shall be adjusted to reflect the percentage <br /> change, as compared to the last such adjustment, in the <br /> Consumers' Price Index (1957-59 base) , Los Angeles area, <br /> published by the '''. S. Department of Labor, as indicated <br /> • by the index figure for the month of May most recently <br /> published prior to said dates, respectively. Such adjust- <br /> ment shall be computed by using the figure of 108. 0 as equal <br /> to 100, and increases or decreases in the contract unit <br /> price shall be one cent per unit for each increase or <br /> decrease of one full percentage point from the base of <br /> 108 . 0 as compared to the last such adjustment, whether <br /> heretofore or hereafter made. <br /> 3. <br />
